Through our Social Action Committee, Shaare Tefila became a faith-based partner with the New Neighbors Interfaith Alliance (NNIA).  NNIA provides support to local, newly resettled immigrants in need including refugees, asylum seekers and others we refer to as new neighbors.  NNIA receives requests through the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Catholic Charities and other organizations.  We provide both emergency support and long-term support.  Join us for a presentation to learn what our Social Action Committee has been involved with and what the current needs are in terms of volunteer activities, financial need and in-kind donations.  We are looking to increase our level of participation and would love to have a few more congregants sign up to help.  You can control how much time you want to devote to this cause.  Every hour and every dollar matter.
